We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Electrical Coordinator to support the planning, execution, and coordination of electrical infrastructure and operations. This role will act as a key link between the engineering team, field supervisors, operations, and technical support groups to ensure electrical work is safely, efficiently, and effectively planned and delivered.
The Electrical Coordinator will be responsible for short- and medium-term planning, underground electrical development, power generation and load management, training coordination, technology support, and the successful handover of completed electrical infrastructure to operations.
Competitive hourly rate with daily overtime; Annual Range: $125,000 - $150,000, commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities
- Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain short- and medium-term electrical plans and schedules.
- Coordinate upcoming electrical activities to ensure resources, materials, equipment, and personnel are available when required.
- Identify potential constraints and proactively develop solutions to maintain project and operational schedules.
- Engineering & Field Coordination
- Coordinate activities and priorities between the engineering team and field supervisors.
- Ensure engineering requirements, designs, changes, and technical information are effectively communicated to field personnel.
- Provide coordination and follow-up on electrical work to support safe and efficient execution.
- Underground Electrical Development
- Plan and coordinate the advancement of underground electrical infrastructure.
- Develop plans for substation installations, feeder cable advancement, and associated electrical infrastructure.
- Coordinate electrical development activities with mining, construction, engineering, and operations requirements.
- Power Generation & Load Management
- Support planning and coordination of site power generation and electrical distribution.
- Monitor and coordinate electrical loads to support reliable and efficient power utilization.
- Assist with planning for changes in electrical demand associated with development, construction, and operational activities.
- Training & Competency
- Identify required electrical training and competency requirements.
- Coordinate and book required courses, certifications, and specialized training.
- Schedule specialized trainers to attend site and coordinate logistics to ensure training is completed effectively and on schedule.
- Maintain awareness of upcoming training requirements and support workforce competency planning.
- Technology & Systems Coordination
- Coordinate requests and technical requirements with industrial programmers, IT, and Operational Technology (OT) teams.
- Facilitate communication between electrical, automation, control, IT, and OT groups.
- Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and integration of technology related to electrical infrastructure and operations.
- Project Handover & Commissioning
- Coordinate the transition of completed electrical projects and infrastructure from construction/commissioning into operations.
- Ensure infrastructure is complete, functional, documented, and ready to be safely taken over by operations.
- Coordinate outstanding deficiencies, documentation, testing, commissioning requirements, and operational readiness prior to handover.
- Work closely with construction, engineering, commissioning, and operations teams to achieve successful project closeout.
- Electrical trade, engineering technology, engineering, or related technical background.
- Experience working with electrical infrastructure in an industrial, mining, construction, or heavy industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, substations, feeder cables, and power generation.
- Experience with planning, scheduling, project coordination, or electrical operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across engineering, operations, maintenance, construction, IT, and OT teams.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and field-based teams.
- Experience with commissioning, project handover, or operational readiness would be an asset.
