Compensation

  • Expected hourly rate is $75-$100 hr., commensurate with experience
About the Role
  • 24-month contract with potential of a 12-month extension
  • Hybrid model with 8 days onsite at the Ottawa location
Responsibilities
  • Play a key operational role with a focus on evergreening and ongoing operational support
  • Resolve complex cross-functional technical issues in a timely manner
  • Participate in planning and execution of testing tied to production deployment validation, performance, failover, vulnerabilities remediation, and disaster recovery
  • Analyze the current solutions environment to identify deficiencies and opportunities for simplification as part of continuous improvement and evergreening activities
  • Define and implement required upgrades and changes to address operational problems or new business requirements, including troubleshooting in prod and non-prod environments
  • Complete other related activities and deliverables as required
Required Skills
  • Education: University degree or college diploma in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of recent demonstrated experience in testing and/or operations and/or development and/or integration in network management environments
  • Cisco Networking: Minimum 5 years of recent demonstrated experience with network equipment, specifically Cisco switching and routing platforms including: Cisco Nexus 9K, 9300s, 6508, and APIC
  • Azure Cloud Networking: Demonstrated experience working with Azure Cloud Networking
  • IT Operations Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in IT Operations, including operational capabilities and typical operational challenges
  • Development Lifecycle: Demonstrated ability to support the full development lifecycle, including participation in CI/CD processes from concept through implementation
  • Architecture: Demonstrated experience with scalable and highly available service-oriented architectures
  • Agile: Demonstrated experience working in Agile methodology
