Aplin has partnered with a highly regarded downtown Edmonton law firm to recruit a Commercial Paralegal. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of interesting and sophisticated commercial lending transactions.

The role:
- Managing commercial lending and purchase/sale files including physical filing, diary dates, closing dates, and preparation of reporting documentation.
- Obtaining searches and completing registrations/filings with Land Titles Office, Personal Property, and Tax Registries.
- Drafting, assembling, and organizing commercial lending and purchase/sale documents.
- Conducting due diligence for M&A transactions.
- Preparation and distribution of monthly account statements to clients.
- Administrative duties (includes opening files), as needed.
- Strong communication skills with professional phone etiquette for client, lender, and opposing counsel interactions
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to work independently and ability to work collaboratively with others.
