My client is a growing Canadian electrical engineering and field services firm based in Edmonton, Alberta, specializing in electrical power system solutions. They are looking to add an Electrical Engineer P.ENG to their team!

Required Qualifications:
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta (APEGA)
  • 5 – 10 years of experience as a P.Eng. working in industrial section
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Edmonton, Alberta
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada (Canadian citizen or valid work permit)
  • Willingness to travel and perform approximately 20-30% field work
Technical & Professional Experience:
  • Strong experience with medium- and high-voltage (MV/HV) power systems and apparatus (Breaker, switchgear, MCC, CT, PT, UPS etc.)
  • Solid background in MV & HV protection and control systems (GE, SEL, Beckwith, Siemens, etc.)
  • Proficiency with engineering tools/software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, AutoCAD)
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (CSA, IEEE, etc.)
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight project deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Positive work attitude and having flexibility on work schedule
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with field engineering, commissioning, or site support is highly preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Project management or client-facing experience is an asset
