We're seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing finance team in downtown Edmonton. This is an opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys financial reporting, analysis, process improvement, and mentoring junior team members.
This role will play a key part in the preparation and review of financial reporting, period-end close activities, and business analysis while partnering closely with operational and finance leaders.

This role will play a key part in the preparation and review of financial reporting, period-end close activities, and business analysis while partnering closely with operational and finance leaders.
What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Analyze financial results and provide meaningful insights to leadership
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
- Review work completed by junior and intermediate accountants
- Assist with process improvements and reporting enhancements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Support audit requirements and compliance reporting
- Act as a resource and mentor for members of the accounting team
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA designation completed or in progress is considered an asset
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong financial reporting and full-cycle accounting knowledge
- Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of others is considered an asset
