Are you a relationship-focused Human Resources professional who thrives in a dynamic, operational environment? Our client is seeking a Human Resources Advisor to support leaders and employees across multiple project sites, providing practical guidance, employee relations expertise, and recruitment support that drives both business success and a positive employee experience.

Based in Regina, SK, this role serves as a key link between project operations and the Human Resources team, helping ensure consistent practices, strong employee engagement, and compliance with employment legislation.  This is an 18-month term position with possibility for extension or permanent hire.

What You'll Do
Employee and Manager Support
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on performance management, conflict resolution, workplace concerns, and employee relations matters.
  • Promote fair, consistent, and legally compliant Human Resources practices across multiple project sites.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, programs, benefits, and workplace issues.
  • Support employees and leaders through leave and disability processes while connecting them with appropriate resources.
Recruitment and Talent Support
  • Partner with the recruitment team to support hiring activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and reference checks.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines to support ongoing workforce needs.
  • Assist with onboarding and employee integration to ensure a positive start and successful transition into operations.
  • Recruitment activities typically represent approximately twenty-five percent of the role.
Employee Relations and Investigations
  • Conduct or support workplace investigations, including harassment and workplace conduct matters.
  • Provide recommendations regarding corrective action and disciplinary outcomes in accordance with company policy and legislation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders when employment decisions impact operational or site requirements.
Human Resources Programs and Reporting
  • Support the implementation and communication of Human Resources policies, programs, and initiatives.
  • Partner with payroll to resolve employee inquiries related to timekeeping, pay, and Human Resources systems.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze trends, and provide workforce reporting to support business decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes and improve the employee experience.
What You Bring
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Three to five years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably within mining, construction, industrial, or other operational environments.
  • Experience supporting employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation across multiple jurisdictions; experience supporting Canadian provinces and the United States is considered an asset.
  • Strong proficiency with Human Resources information systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities, work with urgency, and effectively influence operational leaders.
