Our client, a leader in the retail on-the-go foods distribution field, is looking for a Food Safety Field Coach/Client Services Manager.
The Food Safety Field Coach’s primary role is to deliver operational food safety compliance, championing food safety culture, maintaining a safe customer experience and ensuring the brand standards for our client.
Unlike regular compliance jobs, this role seeks to better understand the way the business operates and give unbiased advice to the stakeholders without having an agenda to push. You will be genuinely developing food safety compliance and supporting businesses. There will be many key levers at your disposal, and it is your responsibility to use your experience and judgement to choose the correct ones to suit the needs of the business.
As a Food Safety Field Coach reporting into the Fresh Coffee & Food Development Specialist & Team Lead, you will have Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to achieve along with your own network of retailers, service stations and business outlets to performance manage, coach and reward.

Tasks Required
- Carry out store compliance and staff training following refits or introduction of new food programs
- Completion of the prescribed site visit inspection (food safety etc.) as per client contractual frequency and standard
- Fully participate in meetings with independent retailers using a bespoke app to identify areas where opportunities exist for increasing sales and profitability
- Constant coaching of onsite staff to ensure they complete tasks safely and efficiently, and engage effectively with their customers and enjoy their work
- Compliance checking, auditing planogram compliance, NPD availability, retail brand standards, food safety inspection
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in accredited Environmental Health Program related to Food Science
- Certificate in Public Health Inspection (Canada) – CPHI(C)
- Full driving licence
- Knowledge and experience in the food retail industry in a field-based role
- Experience in Coaching and Training (2-3 years)
- Lead Auditor Certifiate
- Proven experience of regular reporting to multiple senior stakeholders
- $80-100K/year salary
