Are you a hunter-style sales professional with commercial HVAC experience who thrives on winning new customers and generating revenue?

Our client, a well-established commercial HVAC company in the Lower Mainland, BC, is seeking a driven HVAC Service Sales Representative to grow its preventative maintenance and service agreement business.

This is a true business development role, not simply account management.
Your primary focus will be prospecting, developing new client relationships, and closing commercial HVAC preventative maintenance contracts and multi-year service agreements, while also identifying growth opportunities within existing accounts.

You’ll have the autonomy to develop your territory, the support of an established service operation, and the opportunity to make a direct impact on the company’s growth.

What’s in It for You?
  • Base salary of $90,000–$120,000, depending on experience, plus commission
  • Company vehicle or vehicle allowance
  • Cell phone and sales tools provided
  • Opportunity to build new business and grow a recurring revenue stream
  • A smaller, agile company where your sales efforts can make a direct impact
Key Responsibilities
  • Sell commercial HVAC preventative maintenance contracts and multi-year service agreements.
  • Generate new business through cold calling, site visits, networking, referrals, and follow-up on service and repair leads.
  • Develop relationships with building owners, property managers, facility managers, strata managers, and general contractors.
  • Partner with Service Managers, Coordinators, and Technicians to convert service calls and repair recommendations into maintenance agreements.
  • Identify equipment replacement, upgrade, and energy-efficiency opportunities within the existing customer base.
  • Assess commercial HVAC equipment condition and recommend appropriate service programs.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and needs assessment through proposal development, closing, and contract renewal.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, with accountability for sales activity and results.
Qualifications
Must-Have
  • Proven experience selling commercial HVAC preventative maintenance contracts in the local market.
  • Demonstrated success generating new business, winning contracts, and developing customer relationships.
  • Ability to speak confidently and in detail about sales performance, including contracts secured, revenue generated, individual contributions, and realistic future sales potential.
  • Strong commercial HVAC equipment knowledge, with the ability to assess equipment condition and recommend appropriate service programs.
  • At least three years of experience in HVAC, mechanical service, or facilities.
  • Valid driver's licence, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel throughout the Lower Mainland.
Nice-to-Have
  • Technical background before moving into sales, such as service technician, gas fitter, refrigeration mechanic, or service manager.
  • Established network within commercial property management and facilities in the Lower Mainland.
  • Familiarity with rooftop units (RTUs), heat pumps, boilers, chillers, air handling units (AHUs), make-up air units, and ventilation systems.
  • Demonstrated success with contract renewals and customer retention, in addition to new business acquisition.
