Impact Recruitment has partnered with a leading global law firm to hire a Pursuits & Directories Manager to join their Business Development & Marketing team. This is a senior opportunity for an experienced pursuits professional with a strong background leading complex RFPs, pitches and proposals within a professional services environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of complex RFPs, pitches and proposals, from initial opportunity assessment and kick-off through final submission.
• Partner directly with lawyers and BD stakeholders to develop client-focused value propositions, win themes and tailored pitch strategies.
• Draft, edit and review high-quality proposal and pitch content, ensuring submissions are compelling, accurate and compliant.
• Manage multiple concurrent pursuits across different practice groups and jurisdictions while maintaining tight deadlines.
• Coordinate with Business Development, Pricing and other internal teams to gather information and develop tailored responses.
• Coach lawyers and pursuit teams in preparation for client presentations and pitch meetings.
• Develop and maintain standard proposal content, credentials and other business development materials.
• Maintain and leverage the firm's experience database, ensuring matter descriptions and credentials are accurate and pitch-ready.
• Lead and support team members involved in pursuits, ensuring quality and consistency across deliverables.
• Track pursuit activity and follow up on win/loss outcomes to identify trends and future business development opportunities.
• Collaborate with lawyers and BD colleagues on Chambers and Legal 500 directory submissions.
• Identify opportunities to improve pursuit processes, content and deliverables, including the effective use of AI.
• Develop presentation materials and graphics that strengthen pitches and proposals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in pursuits, proposals or business development, ideally within a law firm or other professional services environment.
• Significant experience leading and project managing complex RFP responses and pitches from start to finish.
• Proven ability to build client-focused pitch and proposal documents from the ground up.
• Previous people leadership/management experience.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority pursuits and tight deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working directly with lawyers and senior professionals.
• Strong PowerPoint skills and experience developing polished client-facing materials.
• Experience with legal directories such as Chambers and Legal 500 is an asset.
• French language skills are considered an asset.
• Flexibility to adjust working hours when required to meet client-driven deadlines.
