This is a contract position for 2 months starting ASAP. Fully in office, downtown Calgary.

This is a contract position for 2 months starting ASAP. Fully in office, downtown Calgary.
What You'll Be Doing
- Process end-to-end, semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple Canadian provinces.
- Administer employee lifecycle payroll activities including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and payroll adjustments.
- Manage employee benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and resolving employee inquiries.
- Ensure payroll complies with CRA requirements, provincial legislation, Employment Standards, and internal policies.
- Prepare year-end payroll activities, including statutory filings, tax slips, and annual reporting.
- Maintain payroll records and employee data, ensuring information remains accurate and up to date.
- Respond to payroll and benefits inquiries from employees, leaders, government agencies, and benefit providers.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing payroll documentation and reconciliations.
- 3+ years of payroll experience, including full-cycle payroll processing.
- Experience processing payroll for employees across multiple provinces.
- Experience using Workday and/or Avanti payroll systems.
- Strong understanding of CRA regulations, Employment Standards, payroll legislation, and benefits administration.
- PCP designation is preferred. Candidates actively working toward their certification are encouraged to apply.
- Accounting experience is considered an asset.
- Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
