Compensation

• $90,000 to $120,000 depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Own and underwrite a construction portfolio, including GC, trade, and project-specific risks (new and renewal)
• Serve as the day-to-day broker-facing lead, providing fast, practical guidance and maintaining strong partner relationships
• Evaluate complex risk exposures and apply sound pricing/terms judgement within authority
• Deliver competitive, market-aligned solutions while protecting underwriting quality and profitability
• Help support and grow the construction book by spotting opportunities and collaborating with brokers to win and retain accounts
• Manage files across a range of account sizes and coordinate effectively with internal support resources
• Contribute to the teams' capability by coaching/mentoring junior staff and sharing construction expertise
• Represent the business in broker meetings, site visits, and industry events as 

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in commercial underwriting with a focus on construction
• Expertise in construction risks including wrap-up liability, builder's risk, and project-specific policies
• Proven experience in managing and growing a profitable construction book
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and relationship management skills
• Ability to balance technical discipline with market responsiveness
