Our client is seeking an experienced Shop Manager to lead its truck and trailer repair facility in Red Deer. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys developing teams, delivering exceptional customer service, and driving operational performance.

The Role
The Shop Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the repair shop, leading a small team of technicians while ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of technicians.
  • Manage daily shop workflow, scheduling, and productivity.
  • Build strong customer relationships and ensure excellent service.
  • Monitor shop performance and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
  • Maintain repair records and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage equipment, tooling, inventory, and vendor relationships.
  • Monitor operational performance and contribute to the shop's profitability.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of leadership experience in a truck, trailer, heavy equipment, or commercial vehicle repair environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Experience managing shop operations, scheduling, and workflow.
  • Sound business acumen with an understanding of operational performance and financial results.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
