We're currently seeking a Help Desk Technician to join a growing IT support team serving multiple locations throughout the Edmonton region and Markham region (2 roles available). This is a hands-on role supporting end users, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring employees have the tools and support they need to be successful.

One role is based in St. Albert and the other opening is based in Markham, ON, with occasional travel to other local sites required. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide first-level and second-level technical support to end users
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues
  • Support Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 environments
  • Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and groups within Active Directory
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
  • Assist with workstation setup, imaging, deployment, and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot printers, peripherals, and mobile devices
  • Support VPN connectivity and remote access tools
  • Respond to and prioritize support requests received by phone, email, and in person
  • Document issues, resolutions, and support activities within ticketing systems
  • Travel to local sites as needed to provide onsite support and troubleshooting
  • Assist with technology rollouts, upgrades, and infrastructure projects
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in a Help Desk, IT Support, Desktop Support, or Technical Support role
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory including user and group administration
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, and VPN troubleshooting
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues independently
  • Comfortable supporting users both remotely and onsite
Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting Teams telephony
  • Exposure to Windows Server administration
  • Construction, manufacturing, or industrial industry experience
  • Basic PowerShell knowledge
  • Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management processes
