Equipment Operator

Job Overview:
We are seeking reliable and skilled Equipment Operators with experience operating trucks and tractor-trailers to support our busy shiploading season. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate tandem trucks, tractor-trailers, and related equipment safely and efficiently
• Transport materials to and from loading areas, ensuring timely delivery for shiploading operations
• Assist with loading and unloading of materials as required
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and team members
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Support general site operations as needed during peak periods

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 1 Driver’s License (required)
• Proven experience operating trucks and tractor-trailers
• Clean driver’s abstract
• Strong understanding of equipment safety and maintenance practices
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Assets (Not Required but Preferred):

• Previous experience in equipment operation.
• Equipment operation certifications
• Mechanical aptitude
