This role is responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of electrical systems in the field, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with design specifications, safety codes, and municipal standards.
This is a hands-on, site-based position suited to an experienced professional who can bridge the gap between engineering design and field execution while maintaining strict quality and compliance standards.

This role is responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of electrical systems in the field, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with design specifications, safety codes, and municipal standards.
This is a hands-on, site-based position suited to an experienced professional who can bridge the gap between engineering design and field execution while maintaining strict quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections of electrical infrastructure on roadway and transportation projects
- Oversee installation of roadway lighting systems and traffic signalization
- Ensure all work complies with project specifications, applicable codes, and municipal standards
- Act as a key liaison between engineering design teams and field contractors
- Monitor construction progress and document site activities
- Identify and report technical discrepancies, deficiencies, and non-conformances
- Verify that materials and workmanship meet required quality standards
- Review drawings and specifications to ensure accurate field implementation
- Support project teams with updates, reporting, and issue resolution
- Relevant education in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience in electrical inspection within roadway, transportation, or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of:
- Roadway lighting systems
- Traffic signal systems
- Electrical codes and municipal standards
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience working on active construction sites with contractors and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites
- Primarily field-based role on active construction sites
- Close collaboration with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders
- Exposure to large-scale transportation and infrastructure projects
