Our client is seeking a Service Technician to join its team in Langley, British Columbia. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, installing, verifying, modifying, and troubleshooting life safety systems for customers. 

Responsibilities
  • Perform system verifications on projects of varying size and complexity
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair life safety systems
  • Complete and assist with system modifications and installations
  • Diagnose technical issues and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Provide training and technical support to Preventive Maintenance Technicians
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and complete reports in a timely manner
  • Stay current with applicable legislation, codes, standards, and company training requirements
  • Perform electrical work when properly qualified and permitted to do so
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service, safety, and professionalism
Qualifications
  • High school diploma
  • Two-year college diploma in electronics, Journeyperson Electrician certification, or a minimum of four years of equivalent industry experience
  • CFAA certification and/or applicable ASTTBC EX, EL, or FA certification
  • Factory training and programming experience with EST3
  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm and life safety systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable using computers and completing electronic service documentation
  • Ability to work independently and provide technical guidance to junior technicians
