About The Position
- Support full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviews, reference checks and candidate communication.
- Coordinate onboarding and help ensure a positive new employee experience.
- Support employee engagement, recognition, wellness and culture initiatives.
- Coordinate learning and development activities, training sessions and employee events.
- Assist with benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries.
- Support workplace health and safety programs and related administration.
- Prepare employee correspondence and maintain accurate and confidential HR records.
- Maintain employee information and documentation within the HRIS.
- Assist with the communication and administration of HR policies and programs.
- Provide responsive and confidential support to employees and leaders across the organization.
The Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a People & Culture or HR Assistant or Coordinator role.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working towards a CPHR designation is preferred.
- Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding and employee engagement initiatives.
- Exposure to learning and development, benefits and wellness programs.
- Working knowledge of BC Employment Standards, WorkSafeBC and BC Human Rights legislation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Strong judgment, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working with changing priorities.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Comfortable using AI-enabled tools and technology relevant to Human Resources.
Compensation
- Annual salary range $60,000 - $70,000, depending on experience, job-related knowledge and internal and market equity
