We are seeking a Senior Mine Engineer specialized in strategic mine planning and Life-of-Mine (LOM) analysis to drive critical decision-making. Responsibilities
- Lead development and continuous optimization of comprehensive Life-of-Mine plans, integrating geological, operational, environmental, and commercial factors.
- Create and update long-range schedules, cost scenarios, and budgets aligned with organizational goals and production forecasts.
- Conduct technical and financial evaluations of mine projects, including feasibility studies and major expansions.
- Monitor and provide insights on non-operated joint ventures, ensuring alignment with organizational interests.
- Collaborate with finance teams to translate mine planning outputs into clear economic and budget narratives.
- Promote operational excellence and provide mentorship to junior team members and students.
- Degree in Mining Engineering or Geological Engineering; Mechanical Engineering considered but less ideal.
- At least 15 years’ experience in mining, with strong expertise in strategic planning and technical modeling.
- Proficiency in Deswik and Vulcan software, with familiarity in NI 43-101 standards preferred.
- Demonstrated skill in financial modeling, budgeting, and long-term scheduling.
- P.Eng certification in Saskatchewan is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong stakeholder communication and decision-making skills.
- Ability to operate independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and influence cross-disciplinary teams.
