Aplin has partnered with a leading defence and maritime technology company that develops advanced systems and solutions for naval and military customers worldwide. They are looking for a Project Manager to lead complex technical projects from planning through delivery. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Contracts, and Supply Chain to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to customer requirements. Due to the nature of the projects, candidates must be eligible to obtain a Canadian Controlled Goods assessment and a Canadian Reliability and/or NATO Secret security clearance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional project teams and keep projects on track
  • Develop project proposals, quotations, scopes, schedules, and budgets
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, costs, and deliverables
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions when needed
  • Coordinate resources across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance
  • Identify and manage project risks and opportunities
  • Track project progress using Earned Value Management (EVM) and other metrics
  • Prepare project status reports and presentations for customers and internal leadership
  • Manage customer and subcontractor relationships
  • Review project deliverables for accuracy and completeness
  • Identify opportunities to improve project processes and delivery
  • Escalate issues and work with stakeholders to resolve them
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in:
    • Defence
    • Aerospace
    • Manufacturing
    • Other complex technical environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field — or equivalent experience
  • PMP certification or equivalent is an asset
  • Strong experience with project scheduling, reporting, and performance tracking
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Project
  • Understanding of project budgets, financial reporting, and Earned Value Management
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams
