Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain, the Sr. Manager, Logistics provides strategic and operational leadership for client's logistics network, guiding the long-term direction and strengthening distribution and fulfillment performance across farm stores, petroleum agencies, and direct-to-customer channels. T

his role is responsible for developing and optimizing technology-enabled logistics capabilities that enhance service reliability, improve cost efficiency, and support a resilient, high-performing network. The Sr. Manager, Logistics ensures strong cross-functional alignment, informs business planning, and leads the development and execution of initiatives that advance growth, operational excellence, and commitment to delivering a consistent and dependable customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, evolve, and execute logistics strategy, ensuring alignment to broader supply chain plans, customer expectations, and business objectives across all commercial channels.
  • Design long-range roadmaps to strengthen logistics capability, improve service performance, reduce cost-to-serve, and enhance operational resilience.
  • Provide visionary leadership to innovation initiatives, including workflow standardization, digital transformation, and deployment of advanced technologies such as TMS, routing optimization tools, automation solutions, and analytics platforms.
  • Lead continuous improvement by advancing data-driven KPI management, Lean methodologies, root-cause analysis, and process redesign to elevate operational performance.
  • Develop risk-mitigation strategies related to transportation, regulatory changes, capacity constraints, and external market volatility.
  • Develop and lead operational readiness strategies for seasonal surges, promotions, and urgent fulfillment to ensure continuity of service across omnichannel operations.
  • Lead the integration and enhancement of logistics systems supporting route planning, load optimization, real-time visibility, reporting, and predictive analysis.
  • Lead carrier, 3PL, and freight partner strategy including selection, contract negotiations, long-term relationship management, and performance improvement.
  • Provide oversight of full compliance with cross-border, customs, import/export, and regulatory requirements to minimize risk and avoid service disruption.
  • Act as the logistics subject matter expert (SME) within the organization, providing insights on logistics trends, technologies, and regulatory updates that inform strategic planning.
  • Collaborate extensively with key departments and stakeholders to align logistics strategies with enterprise goals and support informed decision-making.
  • Influence commercial and operational planning decisions by providing scenario modeling, cost?to?serve insights, and performance analytics.
  • Oversee and manage the logistics budget and drive cost-optimization efforts to deliver on financial targets.
  • Oversee talent management of the logistics team including performance development, engagement, resource planning, and succession planning for critical logistics roles.
  • Build a high-performance team by providing strategic direction and coaching to the logistics team, strengthening capability, and elevating analytical and technical skills.
  • Oversee end-to-end network optimization across inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics, ensuring safe, compliant, reliable, and cost-effective transportation performance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field; Master’s degree or industry certification an asset.
  • 7+ years’ progressive logistics, transportation, or supply chain experience, preferably in retail, agriculture, or specialized freight.
  • 3–5 years of leadership experience managing both strategic initiatives and operational teams.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), TMS platforms, and logistics technologies preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience applying automation, data insights, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of global logistics practices, carrier management, freight optimization, and import/export compliance.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Proven results in improving delivery performance, reducing costs, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
