Financial Analyst

We're partnering with a well-established organization in South Edmonton to find a Financial Analyst for a 10-month contract with an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, process improvement, and project work in a collaborative finance team.

Candidates with Workday experience are strongly preferred.

What You'll Be Doing

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial and operational reports to support business decision-making.
• Perform variance analysis, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
• Develop forecasts, financial models, and ad hoc reporting for management.
• Prepare and maintain financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
• Lead and support finance-related projects, including process improvement and technology initiatives.
• Evaluate current finance processes, identify opportunities for increased efficiency, and implement improvements.
• Document policies, procedures, and workflows to support strong internal controls and consistency.
• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and other finance initiatives as required.

What We're Looking For

• CPA designation.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis experience.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manipulate complex financial data.
• Workday experience strongly preferred
• Experience improving finance processes and implementing operational efficiencies.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
• Experience supporting finance projects, system implementations, or process improvement initiatives is considered an asset.
