We are partnered with a growing Alberta-based construction company specializing in modular, commercial, residential, and restoration projects across Western Canada. They are looking for a Journeyman Carpenter to join their team, supporting exciting projects including an upcoming modular development in Calgary.

This is a field-based position for an experienced carpenter who enjoys hands-on work, mentoring apprentices, and taking ownership of projects while working with a collaborative team.

Compensation:

Responsibilities:
  • Perform framing, drywall, finishing, trim, cabinetry, siding, flooring, window, and door installation on commercial, residential, modular, and restoration projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to complete work accurately.
  • Assist with the installation and alignment of modular buildings on-site.
  • Mentor apprentices and provide leadership on-site when required.
  • Coordinate with other trades to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Maintain a safe work environment while following company and OHS safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Journeyman Carpenter certification (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience (modular construction experience is an asset but not required).
  • Strong experience with framing, drywall, finishing carpentry, and blueprint reading.
  • CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 certifications.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and own basic carpentry tools.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Alberta on rotational schedules (typically 21/7, 10/2, or 10/3).
  • Leadership or supervisory experience mentoring apprentices is considered an asset.
