Our client, a well-established law firm located in Downtown Toronto, is seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Law Clerk to join their legal support team in a collaborative and professional environment. Please note, this role is fully on-site for the first six weeks of employment, after which it transitions to a hybrid work model.
Working closely with Lawyers, this role will support daily real estate law clerk and file management functions while ensuring efficient transaction management and exceptional client service. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 (commensurate with experience)

- Hybrid work model following the initial six-week on-site period
- Manage commercial real estate lending transactions from start to finish while ensuring all requirements are completed accurately and efficiently
- Draft correspondence, closing documentation, and legal materials required to facilitate transactions
- Prepare interim and final statements of adjustments for occupancy and closing transactions
- Prepare invoices, cheque requisitions, and closing documentation relating to the disbursement of funds
- Prepare electronic registration documentation for commercial lending and leasing matters
- Conduct title searches, municipal inquiries, and other off-title investigations
- Review title insurance documentation and communicate with title insurers regarding draft policies
- Prepare client reports, closing summaries, and transaction updates
- Liaise with lawyers, clients, lenders, title insurers, and external stakeholders throughout real estate transactions
- Maintain electronic and physical client files while ensuring accurate document management and file organization
- Law Clerk Diploma/Designation from an accredited program
- 5+ years of Real Estate Law Clerk experience within a law firm environment
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, mortgages, and commercial lending matters
- Extensive experience with Teraview and electronic registration processes
- Knowledge of title insurance and commercial lending documentation
- Familiarity with Conveyancer software is considered an asset
- Experience drafting ancillary leasing documentation is considered an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Professional, reliable, and client-service-oriented demeanor
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and follow established procedures closely
