Responsibilities
  • Perform complex actuarial analyses supporting pricing, reserving, and risk assessment
  • Develop and maintain actuarial models and projections
  • Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance, and IT teams to provide strategic insights
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies
  • Mentor junior team members and share best practices
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging methodologies
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • ACAS certification with active progress toward FCAS designation
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in property and casualty actuarial work
  • Proficiency in statistical and analytical programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, SAS, or VBA
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
  • Ability to work in-office in Edmonton, with flexibility as needed for professional development initiatives
