Based in Edmonton, our client is an established real estate firm that has been in business for over a decade and is currently looking to add a Financial Reporting Manager to their team. The ideal candidate is a designated CPA and has 5+ years of accounting experience.

Reporting to the Controller, the financial reporting manager will be responsible for but not limited to:

About the Position
Reporting to the Controller, the financial reporting manager will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Manage the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Ensure financial reporting is completed accurately and in accordance with ASPE requirements.
- Review account reconciliations, journal entries, and working papers prepared by the accounting team.
- Coordinate the collection and consolidation of financial information across multiple entities.
- Monitor compliance with lender agreements and prepare required covenant calculations and reporting packages.
- Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process and analyze variances against actual results.
- Prepare financial analysis related to business performance, operating costs, and key financial metrics.
- Support year-end audit requirements and act as the primary contact for external auditors.
- Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls and stay current on changes to accounting standards and assess any impact on the organization.
- Provide guidance and support to members of the accounting team.
- Ad hoc duties as needed.
- Designated CPA
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Public practice experience is an asset
- Real estate experience is an asset.
