We are seeking an experienced Site Manager / Construction Manager to oversee field construction activities on remote infrastructure projects located in Northern and isolated regions.
This is a rotational fly-in/fly-out opportunity supporting complex civil, utility, and modular construction projects in challenging remote environments.
The successful candidate will bring strong field leadership experience in civil construction, structural works, and modular systems, with the ability to independently manage remote site operations safely and efficiently.

This role is responsible for leading on-site execution of water and utility infrastructure installations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. Prior experience in remote or camp-based project environments is highly valued.

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities Site Leadership & Construction Delivery
- Lead day-to-day construction activities on site
- Ensure work aligns with drawings, specifications, schedules, and execution plans
- Monitor progress, productivity, and quality performance
- Identify and resolve field challenges and constructability issues
- Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork
- Oversee civil works including earthworks, excavation, trenching, concrete, foundations, and underground utilities
- Support installation and integration of modular and structural systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design compliance
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal project teams
- Align field operations with logistics, engineering, and project leadership
- Support planning for materials, equipment, and workforce in remote locations
- Promote and enforce all safety policies, procedures, and regulations
- Lead toolbox talks, hazard assessments, inspections, and safety initiatives
- Support QA/QC processes, commissioning, and project closeout activities
- Operate or support equipment as needed (telehandlers, skid steers, EWP, etc.)
- Extensive civil construction experience (earthworks, concrete, foundations, site servicing)
- Background in structural and modular construction
- Proven ability to manage remote field operations independently
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Valid driver’s license
- Previous Northern or remote camp-based project experience
- Exposure to utility, industrial, or water infrastructure projects
- Experience with remote logistics and materials coordination
- Familiarity with commissioning and project turnover processes
- CSTS 2020
- WHMIS
- Ground Disturbance Level II
- Fall Protection
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP/MEWP)
- Skid Steer Certification
- Standard First Aid / CPR
- CSO or equivalent
- Rotational work at remote project sites
- Camp accommodations provided
- Frequent travel required
- Physically demanding field environment
- Pre-construction: 5 days on / 2 days off
- Construction phase: 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off rotation
- Travel costs and arrangements covered by the client
- Candidates must reside in Canada and be legally authorized to work for any employer without sponsorship.
