Accountant

Our client, a well-established boutique legal practice, is seeking a CPA-designated Accountant to join their team in Milton, ON. Please note, this is a hybrid role requiring 3–4 days per week in-office. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of independence, curiosity, and operational accounting exposure, ideally within manufacturing or industry environments with a deep understanding of inventory/SKUs and productive units.


Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $60,000 – $72,000
• Hybrid work environment (3 to 4 days in office)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities across multiple business entities
• Assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Support operational accounting and productive unit analysis
• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger activities
• Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and variance analysis
• Work closely with leadership on accounting processes and business operations
• Utilize QuickBooks Online and Excel for reporting and accounting tasks
• Support process improvements and ongoing accounting efficiencies
• Identify issues proactively and know when to escalate questions or concerns

Qualifications

• CPA designation required
• 2 + years of accounting experience within industry/manufacturing
• Exposure to manufacturing or operational accounting environments is considered a strong asset
• Understanding of inventory/SKU-based businesses preferred
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn and grow professionally
• Experience in trust based or Estate accounting will be considered an asset
