Assistant Financial Controller

What You’ll Be Doing

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements with clear, actionable insights
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple projects and entities

Business Partnership

• Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to understand project performance
• Identify risks, opportunities, and solutions in real time

Billing & Revenue Support

• Ensure accurate and timely invoicing for services, rentals, and project work
• Review contracts and billing structures for completeness and accuracy

Tax & Compliance

• Assist with tax filings across multiple jurisdictions
• Stay up to date on tax requirements and support compliance efforts

Cash Flow & Financial Health

• Monitor cash flow, banking activity, and key financial metrics
• Support financial planning and long-term financial stability

Audit & Controls

• Assist with internal and external audits
• Help maintain and strengthen internal controls

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and reporting
• Stay current with accounting standards and best practices

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional designation (completed or in progress)
• 3+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, analysis, and internal controls
• Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central or similar is an asset)
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI or similar tools is a strong advantage
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
