Our client, a well-established public sector organization in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is seeking a Clerk 3 / Administrative Support professional to provide short-term operational and administrative assistance. This contract role is ideal for an experienced administrative professional who can step in quickly, take ownership of tasks, and support process improvements in a fast-paced environment.
 
Contract Details
  • Contract Length: 2-month contract (ending July 10th, with potential for extension)
  • Location: Fully on-site, 5 days per week (Halifax, Nova Scotia)
  • Pay Rate: $16–$18/hour
Key ResponsibilitiesUnder broad supervision, the successful candidate will provide administrative support across multiple priorities, including:
  • Supporting day-to-day administrative functions to assist the Operations Manager and broader team
  • Assisting with invoice processing, tracking, and ensuring accurate documentation is maintained
  • Organizing, reviewing, and migrating files to SharePoint, ensuring records are properly structured and accessible
  • Supporting the standardization of internal administrative processes and workflows
  • Assisting with document management, file maintenance, and general administrative coordination
  • Helping maintain accurate records, trackers, and reporting documents as required
  • Responding to non-routine issues by applying sound judgment and following established procedures
  • Providing general clerical and operational support to ensure smooth office operations
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Four (4) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong administrative skills with high attention to detail
  • Comfortable handling invoices, tracking documentation, and working with internal systems
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a changing environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in a structured, on-site office environment
