About the role
This is a full-time, permanent Accountant position supporting a busy and structured finance function. The role is well-suited for someone early in their accounting career who is looking to build strong foundational experience across reconciliations, month-end, and general ledger activities.

You’ll be joining a close-knit team with strong mentorship, exposure to a variety of accounting processes, and support toward professional development (including CPA).

Responsibilities
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy across financial records
  • Prepare and post journal entries (daily, monthly, and annual)
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Maintain and support general ledger activities
  • Support accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Ensure financial records are accurate, organized, and up to date
  • Assist with trust accounting processes, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and proper handling of client funds
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks and projects as directed by the Controller
Requirements
  • 2–3 years of accounting experience in a corporate environment
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of Canadian accounting principles
  • Working toward a CPA designation (or interest in pursuing) is an asset, but not essential 
  • Trust accounting exposure is considered a huge asset for this role
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Strong communication skills
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $65,000 – $80,000
  • Flexible working hours 
  • Hybrid working flexibility after probation period 
  • Overtime is banked and can be taken as time off
  • 2–3 weeks’ vacation
  • RRSP contribution: 3%

  • CPA/education support (dues reimbursed)
