About The Position
The successful candidate will work closely with the firm’s municipal law group, advising municipalities and organizations on a wide range of legal matters.
Key responsibilities include drafting bylaws and legal opinions, providing strategic advice to municipal clients, and representing clients in tribunal proceedings and provincial offences matters. The role involves both advisory and litigation work and reports into senior members of the municipal practice group, with increasing autonomy based on experience.

The Requirements
- 5–10+ years of experience in municipal law or a closely related field
- Strong drafting skills, including bylaws, agreements, and legal opinions
- Experience with tribunal advocacy and/or provincial offences litigation
- Ability to manage client relationships and provide strategic legal advice
- Portable book of business considered an asset, but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Competitive salary range of $200,000-$250,000, plus bonuses
