This opportunity is ideal for a skilled flat roofer who is looking to transition off the tools while remaining in the industry and leveraging their technical expertise in inspections, estimating, and client coordination.

The Roofing Inspector is responsible for conducting comprehensive roof assessments, preparing accurate estimates, coordinating with field crews, and building strong client relationships. This role plays a key part in preserving and extending the lifecycle of roofing assets while ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed roof inspections and provide thorough recommendations
- Assess roof conditions, including active leaks, deterioration, and overall asset health
- Evaluate roofing systems with a focus on lifecycle preservation
- Inspect and troubleshoot emergency roof leaks and related issues
- Prepare, review, and submit accurate cost estimates and proposals in a timely manner
- Coordinate estimating and scheduling with roofing supervisors
- Oversee new roof installations and re-roof projects
- Ensure specifications, shop drawings, and scope of work are adhered to
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors
- Deliver a high level of customer service
- Maintain company vehicle
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial flat roofing
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience with flat roofing systems (required)
- Strong working knowledge of roofing systems including:
- Asphalt and Gravel
- Modified Bitumen / SBS
- EPDM
- TPO
- Single-ply systems
- Experience with installation, repair, and roof modifications (curbs, penetrations, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
- Proficiency with basic computer programs and applications
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities
- Ability to mentor and train crew members
- High sense of urgency with comfort operating in fast-paced or ambiguous environments
- Commitment to safe work practices
