- Manage files, draft, format, and proofread pleadings, affidavits, correspondence, and briefs
- Prepare and file documents in accordance with the Alberta Rules of Court (including e-filing)
- Maintain calendars, limitation dates, and bring-forward systems
- Coordinate discoveries, mediations, applications, and trials
- Conduct searches and carry out investigations through the internet
- Liaise with legal assistants, paralegals, lawyers, experts, and clients
- Request and follow up on medical, expert, and third-party records
- Open, maintain, and close electronic and physical files
- Assist with time entry, and preparing account
- Legal Assistant or Paralegal diploma, or equivalent experience
- Previous insurance litigation experience preferred
- Working knowledge of the Alberta Rules of Court
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
