Based in Niagara Falls, Ontario, our client is a well-established and leading insurance brokerage with over 20 years in the industry. They are currently looking to add an experienced Controller to their team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience.

Reporting to the owner, the controller will be responsible for, but not limited to:

About the Position
Reporting to the owner, the controller will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses.
- Supervise daily accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, revenue recognition, and cash flow analysis.
- Develop annual budgets, monitor variances, and provide updated financial projections to support business planning.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Coordinate with external auditors, prepare required documentation, and facilitate an efficient audit process.
- Analyze financial metrics, KPIs, and revenue reports to ensure accuracy and provide performance insights.
- Oversee IT systems, HR, strategic initiatives, and property management functions.
- Support ad hoc projects as needed.
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Diploma or degree in accounting
- Insurance accounting experience is an asset
- 5 days in office role.
- Salary expectations: $100,000 to $130,000
- 3 weeks’ vacation
- Extended health and dental
