We have partnered with a leader in the defense industry to hire a Project Engineer for their growing team in Dartmouth, NS.

You will support the technical delivery of assigned projects, contributing to engineering planning, execution, and risk management. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes, while developing your skills and experience across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of engineering work packages and control accounts across the project lifecycle
  • Participate in technical discussions with customers and internal teams
  • Contribute to the preparation and delivery of engineering outputs, ensuring quality and timeliness
  • Assist in identifying and resolving technical challenges through analysis and problem-solving
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and design standards
  • Support integration, verification, and validation activities
  • Maintain project documentation including requirement definitions and technical records
  • Work closely with program managers, subsystem leads, and other engineers to resolve technical or program-related issues
  • Support internal and external design reviews and programmatic reviews
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and lessons learned
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of engineering experience, preferably in project-based or defense-related environments
  • Hands-on experience across the project lifecycle
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles
  • Experience with technical documentation, compliance standards, and project reporting
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project or similar project management tools is an asset
  • Capable of acquiring a NATO security clearance and a Canadian Controlled Goods assessment
