My client, one of Canada's leading fully integrated real estate company (REIT), are on the hunt for a new Property Accountant to focus on their commercial and industrial portfolio. The successful candidate will work alongside with other property accountants and will report to the manager on-site in a fast-paced, exciting, and professional work environment.

ABOUT THE POSITION
- Perform full-cycle and property accounting for a real estate portfolio, including journal entries, ledgers, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
- Complete bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Manage CAM and operating cost accounting, including annual reconciliations and adjustments.
- Support accounts receivable and collections, ensuring tenant accounts are accurate and up to date.
- Contribute to budgeting and recoveries, including reforecasting, variance analysis, and revenue modeling.
- Process year-end billings and adjustments for operating costs and realty taxes.
- Assist with audit preparation, including working papers, schedules, and year-end reporting packages.
- 2+ yrs. of accounting within real-estate
- Experience working on a portfolio of industrial, enclosed shopping malls and/or retail spaces
- CAM reconciliation experience
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Accounting or related field
- Strong computer literacy, particularly MS Excel Working knowledge of Yardi is an asset!
- Self-starter, demonstrates strong ownership, analytical and problem-solving skills
- $70,000 - $85,000 + Bonus + Paid overtime!
- 3 weeks' vacation
