Our client, a community-focused financial institution with a strong presence across rural Alberta, is looking for a Loan Officer to join their team in La Glace, AB. Responsibilities
  • Assess and process personal, business, and agricultural loan applications
  • Evaluate financial statements, credit histories, and supporting documents to determine loan eligibility
  • Recommend or approve credit within authorized limits and communicate terms clearly to members
  • Support members through the entire lending process, offering tailored solutions and guidance
  • Maintain accurate loan records, documentation, and reporting for internal and compliance purposes
  • Handle member inquiries and concerns with professionalism and efficiency
  • Assist with follow-up and collections for delinquent accounts
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager and team to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of experience in lending, financial services, or credit-granting preferred
  • Background in agricultural or commercial lending is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong service orientation
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion
  • High school diploma required; additional education in finance, business, or related fields is an asset
