Aplin has partnered with Halifax, NS based firm, to hire a Receptionist for a fully on-site, client-facing role. This will be a 2-month contract with potential to go permanently.

Benefits & Perks:
- Compensation: $23 to $27/hour
- Start Date: Ideally Tuesday, June 24th
- Location: Halifax, NS – Fully On-site
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Duration: 2 month contract with potential to go permanent
- 1-hour lunch break unpaid
This is a front-facing client reception role in a small but busy professional office. As the first point of contact for all in-person visitors, you'll help ensure scheduled meetings run smoothly and the office is organized and welcoming.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in clients arriving for scheduled appointments with Trustees, Interviewers, or Counselors.
- Manage the office flow, ensuring clients are directed appropriately and on time.
- Scan, file, and organize documentation; handle paperwork and assist non-technical staff with light admin tasks.
- Process basic payments (credit, debit, or cash).
- Light office duties such as maintaining common areas and supplies (e.g., dishwasher, kitchen stock).
- 1+ years of experience in Reception, Customer Service, or Office Administration.
- Confident, professional demeanor; able to take the initiative and create positive client experience.
- Comfortable in a structured, fast-paced environment with back-to-back client traffic.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills; good with basic office tech and paperwork.
- Proficiency with MS Outlook and Excel preferred.
