My client located in DT, Toronto is looking for an Civil Superintendent on Full Time permanent basis. You will mainly be responsible for site supervision on Civil Infrastructure projects in ON. 

What You'll Be Working On:
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6, in collaboration with the Project Manager and subcontractors.

  • Create Health, Safety, and Environment Plans.

  • Review contracts to ensure accuracy and feasibility of scope and schedules.

  • Coordinate with Equipment Management Team for project requirements.

  • Assist in selecting trade subcontractors.

  • Conduct constructability reviews to optimize construction execution.

  • Direct daily construction operations, overseeing junior resources as assigned.

  • Manage Master and Subcontractor Contracts.

  • Prepare and monitor 2- and 6-week construction schedules, ensuring project completion within budget and schedule.

  • Measure on-site productivity against planned progress.

  • Optimize site logistics to maximize efficiency.

  • Establish and maintain organized construction sites.

  • Implement quality management programs to minimize deficiencies.

  • Approve timesheets and conduct daily hazard assessments.

  • Conduct weekly subcontractor meetings to ensure adherence to project schedule.

  • Manage material procurement, tracking, and forecasting.

  • Review subcontractor submittals and support commissioning plans.

  • Address deficiencies to meet completion deadlines.

  • Manage project risks according to the Risk Management Plan.

  • Communicate daily project status and escalate issues to the Project Manager.

  • Attend project owner meetings and manage permit requirements, inspections, and handovers.

  • Coordinate administrative tasks with office support.

  • Ensure contractual obligations are met on-site.

  • Promote health, safety, and regulatory compliance.

  • Provide cost-effective solutions and coordinate with the Project Manager.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

  • Strong knowledge of contract administration, drawings, specifications, and building practices.

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in construction, focusing on civil infrastructure.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Procore, SAP.

  • Leadership experience managing diverse teams and subcontractors.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.

  • Commitment to achieving project goals in a fast-paced environment.
