Our client in the healthcare industry is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage the full-cycle payroll administration for its employees. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
- Review new employee information, process new hires, and maintain accurate payroll and employee records.
- Respond to employee and manager inquiries, investigate discrepancies, and resolve payroll-related issues.
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time.
- Conduct bi-weekly payroll audits and final payroll reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Process monthly union dues and complete all required union reporting.
- Collaborate with Payroll, HR, site leaders, managers, and employees to address payroll concerns and ensure effective resolution.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of payroll experience.
- Experience with UKG, Kronos, and/or UltiPro payroll systems is required.
- Previous union payroll experience is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- A solid understanding of Alberta Employment Standards legislation.
