Our client, a well-established organization in the food manufacturing industry, is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Environment, Health & Safety Administrator to join their team in Brampton, ON. Compensation
- Pay Rate: $25/hour
- Hours: 40 hours per week, starting at 8:00 a.m. or 8:30 a.m.
- Contract: 3 months, with potential for extension or permanent employment
- Start Date: ASAP
- Location: Brampton, ON
- Work Arrangement: On-site, 5 days per week
- Hands-on experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Potential for contract extension or permanent employment.
- PPE provided by the employer.
- Safety footwear reimbursement, in accordance with company policy.
- Keep contractor safety documents up to date, including insurance, WSIB clearance, and orientation records.
- Track and report workplace safety statistics and key performance indicators.
- Assist with new employee safety orientations and accident investigations.
- Maintain and organize health and safety policies, procedures, forms, and records.
- Provide administrative support, including filing, data entry, and ordering office and first aid supplies.
- Schedule health and safety committee meetings, take minutes, and share updates with relevant team members.
- Maintain health and safety bulletin boards.
- Help coordinate employee safety recognition programs and initiatives.
- Follow company policies and procedures related to health and safety, food safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field.
- internship experience or 1+ Years of health and safety experience.
- Basic knowledge of Ontario health and safety legislation (OHSA) and WHMIS.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, such as GMP, HACCP, or BRC, is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working with employees, contractors, and suppliers.
- On-site role based at a live poultry processing facility.
- Must be comfortable entering different areas of the plant.
- Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required.
