As a Mission Critical Specialist, you'll coordinate urgent domestic and international shipments, solve complex transportation challenges, and ensure time-critical deliveries are executed seamlessly in a 24/7 operation.   • Compensation: $56,000–$67,000 USD base salary, plus annual bonus
  • Please note, this role is fully remote but the successful candidate must be based in the U.S

Schedule
  • Overnight shift (37.5-hour work week)
  • Saturday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM EST
  • Sunday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM EST
  • Monday: 10:45 PM – 7:00 AM EST
  • Tuesday: 10:45 PM – 7:00 AM EST
  • Approximately three months of daytime training prior to transitioning to the overnight schedule
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate urgent domestic and international air and ground shipments from order entry through delivery.
  • Book and manage shipments with airlines, carriers, freight partners, and customs brokers.
  • Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays to ensure customer commitments are met.
  • Coordinate pickup and delivery while maintaining constant communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and review shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, MAWB, HAWB, Commercial Invoices, and Certificates of Origin.
  • Enter and maintain accurate shipment information within the transportation management system.
  • Develop routing options and pricing for mission-critical freight, including Next Flight Out (NFO), cargo airlines, passenger airlines, charter services, and expedited ground transportation.
  • Investigate shipment issues, identify solutions independently, and escalate when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with team members in a shared work queue, ensuring seamless handoffs between shifts.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, carriers, and logistics partners while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement by providing feedback on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications
  • Minimum three years of experience in mission-critical, expedited, freight forwarding, air freight, courier, or same-day logistics.
  • Strong understanding of domestic and international shipping, import/export operations, and time-critical transportation.
  • Experience coordinating shipments from initiation through final delivery within a freight forwarding environment.
  • Knowledge of Next Flight Out (NFO), Aircraft on Ground (AOG), expedited transportation, or other mission-critical logistics is highly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently during overnight shifts while collaborating effectively with a remote team.
  • High attention to detail with exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office; previous experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is an asset.
  • Dangerous Goods knowledge is considered an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant logistics experience.
  • French and/or Spanish language skills are considered an asset.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
