What You’ll Be Doing
- Take ownership of civil litigation files from start to finish, occasionally assist in other litigation areas in commercial, real estate, Aboriginal law, and limited criminal matters.
- Draft, prepare, and file court documents and legal correspondence.
- Manage client files, track deadlines, and ensure documents are organized and current.
- Liaise with clients, courts, and counsel to keep files moving efficiently.
- Work hand-in-hand with your supervising lawyer while maintaining autonomy over your workload.
- 1–5 years of experience in civil litigation (some exposure to other areas a bonus).
- A motivated, proactive professional who enjoys variety and working independently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and client service abilities.
- Comfortable working fully in-office (no remote option).
