Our client, a respected organization in the nonprofit/global sector, is seeking a Temporary Operations & Finance Manager in Downtown Toronto to support day-to-day finance and operational needs. This is a hands-on contract opportunity ideal for someone who can step in quickly, work independently, and keep core finance operations running smoothly in a lean environment.

Benefits & Perks
  • Pay Rate: $25–$35/hr
  • Contract Duration: Approximately 2 months (potential for extension)
  • Schedule: Part-time – 3 days/week, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (24 hours/week)
  • Hybrid: 1 day in office (Downtown Toronto) + 2 remote days
 Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle bookkeeping with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Manage accounts payable, including invoice processing, bill payments, reimbursements, and disbursements
  • Maintain bank accounts and complete monthly bank reconciliations
  • Support cash flow management and reporting
  • Process payroll and support related remittances/administration
  • Manage health and insurance payment processing
  • Complete budget vs. actual variance analysis
  • Collaborate with an international/global accounting team to support reporting and financial coordination
 Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping, finance, accounting, and/or operations support
  • Strong full-cycle bookkeeping experience (required)
  • Experience with:
    • Accounts payable
    • Bank reconciliations
    • Payroll processing
    • Cash flow tracking
    • Budget vs. actual reporting / variance analysis
  • Strong Excel skills (required)
  • High attention to detail, accountability, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Able to work independently with minimal training or oversight
  • Comfortable handling confidential matters with discretion
  • Experience in a nonprofit and/or global organization is considered an asset
  • CPA designation is considered an asset
