Our client, a respected organization in the nonprofit/global sector, is seeking a Temporary Operations & Finance Manager in Downtown Toronto to support day-to-day finance and operational needs. This is a hands-on contract opportunity ideal for someone who can step in quickly, work independently, and keep core finance operations running smoothly in a lean environment.

Benefits & Perks
- Pay Rate: $25–$35/hr
- Contract Duration: Approximately 2 months (potential for extension)
- Schedule: Part-time – 3 days/week, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (24 hours/week)
- Hybrid: 1 day in office (Downtown Toronto) + 2 remote days
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Manage accounts payable, including invoice processing, bill payments, reimbursements, and disbursements
- Maintain bank accounts and complete monthly bank reconciliations
- Support cash flow management and reporting
- Process payroll and support related remittances/administration
- Manage health and insurance payment processing
- Complete budget vs. actual variance analysis
- Collaborate with an international/global accounting team to support reporting and financial coordination
- 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping, finance, accounting, and/or operations support
- Strong full-cycle bookkeeping experience (required)
- Experience with:
- Accounts payable
- Bank reconciliations
- Payroll processing
- Cash flow tracking
- Budget vs. actual reporting / variance analysis
- Strong Excel skills (required)
- High attention to detail, accountability, and ability to meet deadlines
- Able to work independently with minimal training or oversight
- Comfortable handling confidential matters with discretion
- Experience in a nonprofit and/or global organization is considered an asset
- CPA designation is considered an asset
