Our client, a fast-growing, entrepreneurial company in Calgary is looking to add a Senior Bookkeeper to their team. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a role where you’ll gain exposure beyond day-to-day bookkeeping and contribute to the financial growth of a scaling business.

This role is ideal for someone pursuing (or interested in pursuing) their CPA, who wants hands-on experience in financial reporting, forecasting, and working closely with leadership.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including AP, AR, invoicing, and reconciliations
  • Support month-end close and maintain accurate financial records
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with analysis
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards
  • Track product and customer margins to support business decisions
  • Assist with forecasting, cash flow planning, and budgeting
  • Process payroll and manage remittances
  • Support inventory tracking and financial reporting
  • Work closely with leadership on operational and financial insights
  • Coordinate with external accountant for year-end and reporting

What You Bring
  • 3-6 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting fundamentals
  • Interest in growing into a more advanced accounting role (CPA path encouraged and supported)
  • Experience in a startup environment is required
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (Odoo experience is an asset)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-starter who is comfortable working independently and taking ownership
