Civil Engineer

A well-established and highly respected engineering consulting firm is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join its growing team in Fort St. John. • Base salary: $92,000 – $137,000 (commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver municipal infrastructure design projects
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
• Oversee projects from concept through detailed design and construction
• Coordinate regulatory approvals, tender documents, and contract administration
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff
• Support client relationships and regional growth initiatives

Qualifications

• P.Eng. designation (registered in BC or eligible for registration)
• Minimum 6+ years of civil engineering experience
• Strong municipal infrastructure design experience, including:
  • Sewer systems
  • Storm drainage
  • Water distribution systems
  • Roadworks and general municipal infrastructure projects
• Proficiency with Civil 3D
• Experience with project management, budgeting, scheduling, and client communication
• Self-motivated, proactive, and interested in leadership and career advancement
• Willingness to relocate to Fort St. John, BC
