Stacey Danley at Aplin has partnered with our Winnipeg-based client, a growing family-owned construction business, on the search for a Proposal and Communication Manager.  The successful candidate will lead the full lifecycle of proposals and tenders while also supporting corporate communications and brand initiatives.

You’ll collaborate with technical and business teams to craft compelling, compliant submissions that win work and reflect our client’s reputation for excellence.

What You'll Do:

Proposal Leadership
  • Manage RFQs, RFPs, and CCDC-11 submissions from initiation to delivery
  • Develop clear proposal structures, timelines, and responsibility matrices
  • Write, edit, and refine high-quality, persuasive content
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery
  • Maintain content libraries and best practices to strengthen future submissions
  • Conduct post-submission reviews to support continuous improvement
Communications & Brand
  • Maintain corporate databases, project profiles, and marketing assets
  • Manage and update the company website (WordPress)
  • Produce employee newsletters and support social media content
  • Coordinate advertising, sponsorships, memberships, and company events
  • Ensure consistent brand standards across internal and external materials
AI-Enabled Proposal Systems
  • Manage AI-driven proposal automation platforms and content libraries
  • Implement tools to improve efficiency, consistency, and response quality
  • Train internal teams on best practices and workflows
  • Analyze proposal performance data to refine strategy
What You Bring:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in proposal coordination (construction experience preferred)
  • Strong writing, editing, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in WordPress, Microsoft Office, and Adobe
  • Post-secondary education in communications or a related field is an asset
