Our client, a well-established and highly respected public practice firm in Banff, is seeking a Tax Manager (CPA) to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced public practice professional who enjoys hands-on client work, takes pride in delivering high-quality tax and assurance services, and is looking to grow into a long-term leadership role. Reporting directly to the Owners/Partners, this position offers strong exposure to diverse client files and a clear pathway toward partnership as part of the firm’s long-term succession plan.

Compensation
  • $100-110k annual base salary
  • Annual performance bonus

Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Owners/Partners, the Manager will take ownership of:
  • Preparing and reviewing personal, corporate, and trust tax returns
  • Preparing and reviewing compilation engagements
  • Supporting the preparation and completion of audit and review engagements (prior experience required)
  • Building strong, face-to-face client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor
  • Managing key client files and working closely with Partners on deliverables and planning
  • Contributing to the overall success and growth of the firm through high-quality client service
  • Supporting long-term succession planning initiatives, with potential progression toward partnership
Qualifications
  • CPA designation in good standing (required)
  • Solid tax and public practice accounting experience across a range of engagements
  • Experience with compilations and exposure to audit and review engagements
  • Strong communication skills and a strong commitment to client service excellence
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, partner-led environment
  • Comfortable working directly with clients and senior leadership
