We are partnering with a well-established boutique litigation firm located in downtown Vancouver to support a search for a Bookkeeper. The firm has been serving the legal community for over 40 years and is known for its tight-knit team and commitment to excellence in insurance litigation.

About the Opportunity
This newly created role has emerged as the firm evaluates its internal accounting and operations structure. The Bookkeeper will take ownership of core bookkeeping responsibilities, including trust accounting, and play a key part in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. The successful hire will work closely with leadership and legal teams and will interface with the existing accounting clerk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full-cycle bookkeeping, including A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management
  • Trust accounting and reconciliations in compliance with Law Society of BC guidelines
  • Month-end and year-end financial reporting in collaboration with external accountants
  • Processing payments, managing deposits, and ensuring timely billing coordination
  • Supporting cash flow tracking and financial documentation for internal stakeholders
  • Working alongside an accounting clerk and liaising with lawyers and administrative staff
  • Maintaining accurate records and assisting in audit preparation or review processes
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment
  • Familiarity with trust accounting and Law Society of BC requirements
  • Firm is considering a new document program likely, Leap or Clio so experience with either would be an asset.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a strong sense of discretion and confidentiality
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of financial responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a small, close-knit team
Compensation:
  • $65,000-$80,000
  • 2-3 Weeks’ vacation
