Benefits & Perks
- Compensation: $25 to $27/hour
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
- Term: 6 month contract with potential for an extension
- Location: Fully on-site at the client’s Halifax, NS office
In this role, you will support the project manager and contribute to the smooth execution of maintenance, operating, and capital project activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in preparing monthly reports for maintenance, operating, and capital budgets.
- Prepare requisitions and receive against purchase orders.
- Track invoices and confirm accuracy against work orders and initial approvals.
- Maintain detailed filing systems for maintenance and improvement projects.
- Receive and dispatch maintenance calls.
- Complete general maintenance-related administrative tasks.
- Monitor progress on assigned work orders and assist with work orders requiring new equipment, outside contractors, services, or other expenditures.
- Ensure compliance with the Real Estate Safety Program and Environmental Management System.
- Follow all Occupational Health & Safety rules and guidelines, supporting both personal and team safety.
- A Diploma or Degree in Business, Administration, Accounting, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Minimum 3+ years of administrative experience, ideally with exposure to facilities, maintenance, or capital project environments.
- Experience with purchase orders, invoices, and vendor coordination.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); experience with Oracle is an asset.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
